# EBSAF SMP

Welcome to the EBS and Friends Survival Multiplayer Minecraft server!

## Installation

* Download and launch [Prism Launcher](https://prismlauncher.org/download/windows/) and download the mods: [ebsafsmp.zip](_static/ebsafsmp.zip).

* Login to your Microsoft Account to link your Minecraft profile.
* Click and Drag the downloaded `ebsafsmp.zip` into the Prism Launcher window and click 'OK' to import.

* Click Launch to start the game!

## Update Mods (When Needed)
* Click Edit and go to the Mods tab.

* Click "Check for Updates"
* **IMPORTANT** Make sure you leave the Sodium update unchecked. For some reason it always tries to pull a version that isn't compatible for our instance yet.

* If you accidentally update Sodium, you can change the version by selecting it and clicking change version to go back to the "release" version that is compatible with our modpack.
* **Server Updates:** I will likely need to make updates to the server mods to stay in lockstep with our client mods.
Ideally I can just periodically pull updates on the server and things will just work, but let me know if the latest version of something isn't working with the server.

The following pages contain the gameplay mods worth explaining. Besides this, there are a bunch of library/support mods that don't directly affect gameplay.

## The Elephant in the Room
(And no I don't mean my future wife)
* Minecraft 26.3 is coming out on Tuesday September 15th. I think we also have to wait for most of these mods to update to be compatible with the new version if we want to update. I can do some testing when it's out and we can decide if we want to upgrade.
